- Suicide Squad stinks
- Studio shills tricked me into watching it
- Genius marketing
- Will Smith is box office gold
- Got lucky
- Had huge opening weekend
- Over sexualized Harley Quinn
- The most over the top film version of the Joker yet
- Batman
- Was tricked into believing by the trailers that there would be more of the Joker
- Little competition in august which gave the film legs. People had nothing else to see pretty much
- Summer movie
- Kids were out of school
- Was not released in China because only 34 films are released there in a year
- Was front loaded
- Current comic-book movie mega boom
- Cool colorful posters, cool cast interviews, etc
- The Joker. Everybody was interested in seeing the new take on the character
- All were A list DC characters
- Margot is box office gold

The more people say SS is a failed movie the more I think they are just trolling. The facts don't lie people. And remember SS wasn't released in China which makes the irony even more ironic.

You forgot the 200m marketing budget and 2 year long marketing campaign. Also copyingg uardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool.

Throwing money around is not genius. Deadpool had genius marketing, because it was viral marketing that cost virtually nothing. Spending 200m on marketing is not genius.

I think maybe BvS spend about 250m. Suicide Squad was only 200m. And MoS less.

I don't agree with people who say MOS failed because it did not make a billion. Here is why:
1.) It was only the second Superman film in more than 25 years.
2.) It was following Superman Returns (2006), which while not anywhere near a hated movie, did not generate much excitement.
3.) It was about a character who many thought "outdated" and "boring."
4.) It was competing with "Monsters University" and "World War Z" in its second weekend,
5.) It was a reboot and the starting point of an extended universe, which would be competing against the already very popular Marvel universe.
Even though I thought SS sucked, saying it failed financially is ridiculous. -

4.) It was competing with "Monsters University" and "World War Z" in its second weekend,
Yeah. And the rest of the weekends, it fell behind
The Heat (2013)
and never recovered.

Shouldn’t this have been on the Suicide Squad board?
Edit: Nevermind, it is, but then what’s the purpose of it on here??
"I realized that what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply…evil."
