Well people who just straight away off the bat state ‘your favourite TV show is trash and only mentalists watch it these days. Enjoy it now because it’s cancelled after this series!’ DESERVE nothing but cynicism and derision! There is NOTHING constructive in that! No discussion to be had.
So which region were you in? BobbyTown was in the Granada region.

My region varied depending up the time of day and year Bobby
Grampian, Granada, Borders, LWT and STV mostly
I rarely watched TV but it was always on and I soaked up all the stuff that came out it.
I liked when Channel 4 and BBC 2 started doing their funky idents

Oh yeah so Big Smoke has replied below as I’m sure you’ve already seen…so I suppose that he is a Whoover, or at least was. He certainly seems very passionate about it so not just trolling. It’s a shame that he has to call us losers and mentalists for still watching but I suppose that’s just modern day Funkopop era fandom for you.

But people said something similar when McGann was The Doctor and there was US funding and influence involved.

The show isn't taking the piss out of anybody except itself and the poor sods still watching it. They had a golden opportunity of making something legendary. They got a massive deal with Disney and even brought back RTD but it still wasn't enough. A quick Google search shows that inside sources claim the Disney deal is all but over and there's no confirmation of another season following this one. RTD has even been asked if it's been cancelled and he hasn't denied it.
They could have ended on a high but at least the 6 people still left watching are happy. The show ended when Capaldi left. His doctor was tired and no longer went on. His encounter with the 1st Doctor convinced him not to regenerate and he died an emotional death. Everything else that happened after was a fever dream. This is how true fans remember the show ending. Enjoy whatever rushed ending you losers get.

If me and him end up as pals and we’re talking a lot about WOKE stuff then I hope that you won’t get jealous. I’ll be talking to you less than I used to of course because a large part of my time will be taken up with talking to this guy, but I will STILL try and talk to you.
