apha and beta are terms used in ethology for wolves and a number of different animals that operate way too differently to humans to export the terms to humanity, and there resides the idiocy.

Lol. You need some education. Wolves and dogs are pack animals as are humans. We just call our packs families. This is the reason that dogs are so easily adopted into human families as pets. The behavior of the 2 species are closely related.
Behavior and therefore terminology are appropriate to both species.

You really would fail every course if you tried to become a psychologist or an ethologist, our species, if anything, is more close in structure to herds and colonies, wolves wouldn't form cities like we do even countries is too much for them Dogs do well with us because they are pack animals, not because we are, and the fact that they evolved with us also helps.

I understand why you have selected the screen name you have. Let's leave it at that shall we. I'm a retired engineer. I look at science from a scientific point of view not the pseudo science perspective you apparently have.

you call yourself a scientist? LOL engineers use science, but aint no scientists, and the science you use isn't psychology, ethology, zoology, biology, anthropology, sociology or any kind of science relevant to this, so shut your ignorant mouth.
By the way, mentioning that you are a retired engineer in a subject pertaining ethnology and anthropology is a fallacy, an ad verecundiam fallacy.

Considering you are talking about the exact same show that turned Supergirl who has been long portrayed as edgy and aggressive into a nerd I would say that is the least of this show's problems. Let's not forget Kara used to use her heat vision to set criminals on fire and only put them out when they told her what she needed to know multiple times and once told a guy who was trying to rape a woman the next time she saw him trying that she would tear his nuts off and shove them down his throat and Linda burned demons to ashes and ripped villains heads with her hands. They did a similar thing with the Black Canary in 'Arrow' and weakened her down just to look the males in the show look stronger.

Masculinity and heterosexuality are seen as oppressive and dangerous. Berlanti would love to have a show where everyone is bisexual and "gender-fluid", that's the endgame.
Good job Oscars! Hopefully Asian and Hispanic nominees in 2018!

You mean bi-sexual (or straight out gay) as in FBI Agent Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe) in the movie The Boondock Saints?
                              I sure wouldn't mind that!
As for gender-fluid, the HBO show Sex and The City pretty much said it best in the third season episode "Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl"

It projects a more open society. But I do feel its to make Kara seem bigger and the great helper.

How does having the boys behave as teen pushovers "projects a more open society.", exactly?
And open to what, to attack?
Apparently in this show leads are either macho cavemen or gays in denial (one extreme or another).
How about what's everything in between? Now that would be an actually open society.
                                  Maybe you meant PC society?

I interpreted "wimps" to mean 'more in touch with their emotions'. So in terms of the show I thought they were balancing out the gender roles.
I've not noticed any macho men except Olsen.

Olsen has a macho's body, like mon-el, but not a macho's mind, mon-el is closer to that but he is disgusting.

At least he stood up to Kara, He must have thought, you do not want a relationship with me yet as long as I'm your friend and not my own person It's O.K. She should get the message from someone who constantly tells everyone. I don't need your help as he does not need her help either nor does he need a protector and maybe that is whats bothering her.
