Was that not one of the creepiest beep things ever? Trailer looks good, real good. And I'm glad people are somehow offended by it, it will be good for business.

His fear is palpable at that moment, as if he knows exactly that that's her trigger to hypnotize him. "No, no wait!"
Immediately he becomes a vulnerable vegetable at her mercy.
I'm guessing she first hypnotizes him nonchalantly when he comes back inside from smoking, hence her stirring her tea (the audible catalyst for her hypnosis method). As the conversation goes on she probably completes the hypnosis, fiddles with his head a bit then releases him and laughs it off to pretend she had no malintent. As the stay goes on he possibly figures this out but cannot unprogram himself from this and so he knows what she can do. It makes me questions which sequences happen inside his head, a la Jacob's Ladder.
