Was that not one of the creepiest beep things ever? Trailer looks good, real good. And I'm glad people are somehow offended by it, it will be good for business.

That, I've never seen anything like that before. Nobody else has done this.

His fear is palpable at that moment, as if he knows exactly that that's her trigger to hypnotize him. "No, no wait!"
Immediately he becomes a vulnerable vegetable at her mercy.
I'm guessing she first hypnotizes him nonchalantly when he comes back inside from smoking, hence her stirring her tea (the audible catalyst for her hypnosis method). As the conversation goes on she probably completes the hypnosis, fiddles with his head a bit then releases him and laughs it off to pretend she had no malintent. As the stay goes on he possibly figures this out but cannot unprogram himself from this and so he knows what she can do. It makes me questions which sequences happen inside his head, a la Jacob's Ladder.

I bet you're wondering what a place like this is doing in a girl like me-The Mummy

Very good point. Which would also explain that moment, where he asks for the keys, while his girlfriend is standing on the staircase, and a man randomly appears to attack him.

That was a very creepy scene.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
