Oh, I definitely don't think Joe Biden would nominate Kamala Harris to the Supreme Court and I also definitely think that Biden would not nominate Hillary Clinton to be VP if that job ever did become available.

Appointing Justices is a matter of appointing the very best candidate regardless of who they are.
It is NOT about checking a race/gender box. Now if it does happen to be a black woman then fine. But since skilled, highly educated, black, female candidates are in the minority it is unlikely that one of them will be the best candidate.

Trump vows to appoint a woman to Supreme Court as vacancy re-energizes his political prospects
Trump moved quickly on Saturday to make the new Supreme Court vacancy a central issue in his campaign, announcing he would name a woman to replace Ginsburg this week. -

Appointing Justices is a matter of appointing the very best candidate regardless of who they are.
How do you determine that? Is there an objective measure of what makes a good candidate? Is there any reason to think that beyond some maybe obvious requirements that one candidate becomes more qualified than another? Every idiot in this country thinks they're qualified to second-guess every decision by the court so I figure having a law degree and having served as a federal judge is good enough, just so they are familiar with the technical side of law. -

Apparently not.
Do I know the criteria? No. But as in any profession there are all stars among the regulars. The supreme court is an all star position.

It will be interesting to see what excuses Bitch McConman comes up with this time to stall on letting a Dem POTUS get in his choice.

When it comes to the U.S. Supreme Court, The Hypocrisy that the Republican Party shows is absolutely stupid and disgraceful.
Back in 2016 when Antonin Scalia passed away and Barack Obama appointed Merrick Garland to the U.S. Supreme Court…..Donald Trump, his supporters, and Republicans all had a MAJOR problem with it and wanted the American people to decide in the Election who should be the one to pick who sits in that seat on the Supreme Court.
Then in 2020 when Ruth Bader Ginsburg passes away….Donald Trump does the exact same thing that Obama did in 2016 and he appoints someone (Amy Coney Barrett) to the U.S. Supreme Court instead of letting the American people decide in the Election who should be the one who sits in that seat on the Supreme Court and Trump's supporters and Republicans had absolutely no problem with it at all.
Talk about Hypocrisy!
It is almost as if they have the mindset where to them "it is only okay if they're own side does it". -

"Stephen Breyer is retiring from the Supreme Court"

What President was it that appointed him to the U.S. Supreme Court ?
Does anybody here know ?
I don't know a lot of the history of the U.S. Supreme Court and so I don't know what President it was that appointed him.
