Are Australians more racist than other people?

Half-Caste Act was the common name given to Acts of Parliament passed in Victoria and Western Australia in 1886. They became the model for legislation to control Aboriginal people throughout Australia, such as the Aboriginals Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Act 1897 in Queensland. Wikipedia
Also check out this movie, based on an actual event in which three half-caste children were kidnapped from their families and sent to an institution, from which they escaped and walked 1,500 miles back to their homes, eluding authorities and using the fence as a guide.

I spent some time reading filmboards viciously attacking the only black member here. It seems acceptable to bother the black people on filmboards. The problem filmboards has about racism is when the racism is from Aussies?

โ 4 years ago(October 23, 2021 03:27 AM)I thought that, if you're non-White, you just respect White people, not worrying about everyone, like, calling for Hitler on sight of a non-White on some random or jealous whim.
Some racists like to weave it in over time, telling themselves they are better than certain people among different races.
I know non-Whites get insecure, and it's a good point.

I think Americans are hyper sensitive about it now because minorities have, rightfully so to some degree, raised a fuss about it. The stakes here are such that you could lose your job and virtually your life if you say the wrong thing.
I donโt think itโs more commonplace here. Itโs just got a spotlight on it.
The sense I got is Aussies donโt have the same situation there with riots and cancel culture all driven by perceived racism. So itโs just not something most people outside the US care as much about.
I went to Italy and it was so incredibly racist. France, same deal. I think the US is really beating itself up over it

No, idiot! We've fussed about it since the Abe Lincoln. We are in year 2021.

They should and the know why. History. And if they aren't reminded of the history of the slave trade and all that that went along with it, they will continue to kill off and arrest minorities in alarming rates they way it was before and keep minorites in poverty.
