Why do news networks cut away from President Trump mid-speech

The story is that the media has to cut away from the president because he has no regard for the damage his lies are causing to the country. Get upset at Trump, not the media for doing the right thing.

So you donβt think itβs a story if the sitting President makes allegations, particularly those that are patently outrageous?
Ridiculous. What exactly are you afraid of if they actually show the news? Trump lost the election. The fact that he says otherwise IS a story.

That is exactly the story. The president is lying to the public and his lies have already caused a significant portion of the population to believe the election is stolen. The media understands how damaging this is to the country so they choose not to be used by him to further spread his lies. The 4th estate's job is to inform the public and hold government to account, what Trump is doing is deliberately misinforming.

Perhaps they're trying to apply the same concept for discouraging dogs from behaving in undesirable ways. Put the dog in its crate and ignore it. For Trump, not having an audience is like a dog being ignored by it's owner. The cold isolation might drive Trump bonkers

β 5 years ago(November 14, 2020 04:00 AM)Using Vlad and PEβs logic we should start spreading stories that they both like to kidnap and molest 13 year old girls. Even though itβs a baseless accusation with no evidence to back it up, Iβm sure they wonβt have any issues with it airing on the news , since itβs a , βstory!β

Youβre a real ****. Given what I know about you, you probably enjoy doing that. With PE, no less.
No, using my logic, I would have had to say that in order for your to broadcast it, which I did not do nor would I.

Disinformation is dangerous for the very reason youβre calling me a **** right now. But you support disinformation when it entertains you under the guise of β free speech!β
Disinformation is implicitly dangerous and I effectively made my point by pissing you off.

You did not use my reasoning. There was fraud, there were miscounts which is why there are recounts being triggered. Whether itβs material or not is at question; itβs unlikely to be material enough to matter.
What you did was say something baseless and borderline illegal.

There was no fraud . Republicans think minorities voting against them is fraud because they are a dying useless political party going the way of the Whigs. And you are complicit in disinformation by parroting the bs they are frantically throwing at the wall to see what sticks.

Thereβs always election fraud. You can google and find examples from every major election in US history.
Again, itβs a question of materiality, I.e. did the fraud lead to someone getting elected. I doubt that it did and there is not proof that it did. Of course there needs to be investigations into accusations, but again, with so many swing states going to Biden this can happen while assuming Biden will become POTUS in 2021.
In fact, Erica, even if the fraud is material, I donβt think itβd be a good thing for Trump to win now as itβd undermine the legitimacy of the American election process. I guess Iβm just not as partisan as you and your little friends here, deal with it.

And yet no evidence in 2020. This isnβt about you being partisan or non partisan itβs about you being dishonest to push a narrative. If not for the USPS sabotage by Dejoy this election would not have been close.

Well I guess thatβs why we have a system of courts examining the allegations. Sorta like how the allegations of Russian collusion were baseless, we needed an examination to conclude they were. The media covered baseless Russian collusion allegations quite thoroughly, as they were potentially quite significant.
Since allegations of voter fraud are serious allegations, the media should probably be covering them. Itβs very silly that theyβre not, seeing as a lot of people are interested in learning about them.
