I did say that, I don't think anything has come up that disputes that
Australia tackled the issue with common sense.
America dances around the issue by saying stupid **** like "it's a mental health issue" as though anyone has ever been in any position to cure the mental health problems of an entire nation, ever, in the history of existence
It's a lot easier to collect all the guns than it is to control the thoughts and feelings of the population. -

I'm just saying from what I know guns are banned across the board in England. I see Australia as a bit wilder and rougher than England. That's why I asked about your gun laws. I'm just saying there is no fundamental difference between Australia and the U.S. because they both allow gun ownership with a license. The American pro-gun lobby may sound crazy. But the majority here supports gun control.

Yeah, but the requirements to attain the gun licenses are VASTLY different.
That's the big difference
Big enough difference to go from most people in a country owning a gun to ****-all people in a country owning a gun. -

True, but the gun laws there are still vastly different from here.
You pretty much have to be a legitimate farmer with a pest problem to be able to get a gun, and even then you still have to constantly prove that you’re still farming and killing pests the entire time you own that gun.
The only alternative is to become a member of a gun club, and again you have to be constantly attending that club etc etc
I’ve looked into getting a gun and trust me when I say it just isn’t worth the trouble down here lol -

Despite our crime rate and the fact that these dumb little inner city gangstas can easily get a gun; and despite the fact I myself was shot with a gun; I still think it's better that the average American can buy a gun. It keeps an air of freedom you don't have in Europe, Canada and Australia. It's the Wild West.

I’ve got no problem with that, I’d get myself a gun if I was living up there.
What I have a problem with is people making up dumb excuses to skirt around gun access being a major issue in all shootings lol -

But the odds of getting hurt or killed in a mass shooting are slim to none. The media here exaggerates it so I imagine there it's really blown out of proportion.

I'm struggling to understand why he thinks his Australian opinion matters to us.
Does he feel superior to Americans by pretending his country is more to his liking (less freedom)?
How exactly does that work? Someone should tell him his country is not better.

Nope, that patriotic indoctrination **** only happens in America - that’s how we end up with idiots like MMC2.
I have facts and statistics to prove that Australia is better than America. Shootings, drugs, crime, murder, racism, riots, poverty, disease, medical care, rape - all of these are far bigger issues in America than they are over here.
What makes your country better than mine, the serving sizes at the local McDonalds?
Just keep lying to yourself, little man. -

It's laughable that you think your statistics prove Australia is better than the US. They don't. But I am interested in finding out why you and those who live in other countries find it so compelling to focus your attention and energy on criticizing my country.
It's got to be difficult to be so consumed with this. You must feel some sort of jealousy. Or if not, perhaps you find that it builds your self-esteem to tell yourself your country is better.
Try to make your own country better. I'm sure you know many things that could be improved. It could be a worthy new year's resolution for you.
