I knew this was going to be about Howard Storm. I saw heard of his story on Unsolved Mysteries before I became an atheist.

If this doesn't convince you that hell is real, nothing will.

I don't understand the appeal of these "atheist becomes Christian!" or "Christian becomes atheist!" stories. What should matter far more than the conversion itself is the reason BEHIND the conversion. The NDE described by the OP is NOT a good reason. In fact, any "I experienced something strange that I can't explain naturally, so God" is not a good reason. Of course, plenty of people become atheists for equally lazy reasons too.

What to you would constitute a good reason?

                      He didn't.
Even if you're a Mormon, you'd only believe Jesus appeared to two groups of people, hardly "the entire human race".
And "I" and "he" are not interchangeable.

Fine, but you said he did
                          that
to Vegas saying appearing to the entire human race and saying he was God. So it didn't fit that.

Herakles appeared among mortals and performed many miracles, too. Why do you reject him?
