I just think of you as a typical guy
What would you say, monica, that defines you as a person? what would you hope to contribute to the world and Universe?

what defines you as a human being?
Not sure I understand the question my genetics define me as 'human', my sentience and reason define me as 'being'

So you're proud of simply 'being' and existing? well, I suppose that can be said for all of us, better than being dead, but do you see that as an achievement? a contribution? is just existing, what you consider your legacy?

So you're proud of simply 'being' and existing?
                Where'd you pull that from?
but do you see that as an achievement? a contribution?
                So, apparently you feel these
                define
                you as a
                person
                ?
                what you consider your legacy?
                Is a legacy
                required
for me to be a person, or human being?
                You sure you're not conflating?

And there are beings which have opposable thumbs, so it's not really 'specical'

That reminds me of a scene from
                              What Dreams May Come (1998)
                              :
                              Albert:
If you lost all your limbs, wouldn't you still be you?
                              Chris:
                              I'd still be me.
                              Albert:
                              So what is the "me"?
                              Chris:
                              My brain, I suppose.
                              Albert:
Your brain? Your brain is a body part. Like your fingernail or your heart. Why is that the part that's you?
                              Chris:
Because I have sort of a voice in my head, the part of me that thinks, that feels, that is aware that I exist at all.
                              Albert:
So if you're aware you exist, then you do. That's why you're still here.
