The difference between Protestant and Catholics are usually arguments regarding the dogma since there isn't much to argue about regarding Scripture.
Does that mean that the concept of the Trinity falls under dogma? -

Defintely.
Even if one were to think that the trinity is addressed in Scriptures, there's no mandate for it.
For example, I think the notion of a trinity is silly, but if I'm wrong there is no repercussions for it. Scripture does not require me to believe anything other than Jesus being the son and God being the father.
That's what I practice. However, most religions put a far stronger emphasis on it than Doctrine does.
If this is Locke, then who's in there? -

what denomination you belong to?
I looked for the church that matched the Bible basics.
And having looked, which church do you conclude matched the Bible basics? (It's really not right to keep cham in suspense like this.) -

I'm never giving you the name of my church. I'm not crazy.
Cham merely asked for the
denomination
, that's all. And, obviously, it's no secret to some of us on this board. But you still love to play coy (to put it politely) with the others on this board. -

Catholics are the original Christians and the two terms are inseparable.
Protestant denoms are autonomous in their accountability, so many Pastors preach what they want. Usually a learned behaviour passed down.

Anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior, has repented of their sins, and has put their trust and faith in him is a Christian. No matter what denomination they go by.
That being said, there are many things that the Catholic Church teaches that are just downright blasphemous.

Yes, regardless of the number of times they have been clarified for you. Sadly this is the result of one being taught what to think, rather than how to think.

That's a bunch of BS. It's never been clarified. It's been defended by Catholics because that's the only thing that they've ever been taught and they will defend the church over anything else. The only thing that's been clarified is that Catholics are pretty much brainwashed into believing whatever the church tells them

That is the perfect example of what I am talking about. The church doesn't make me a better Christian. Going to the Catholic Church doesn't make me more knowledgeable. Reading the Bible and praying to God make me a knowledgable Christian.
Fact is you only get your knowledge from the church. You're not allowed to think for yourself if you're a Catholic. You have to have the Bishops or the priests tell you what the Bible says.

Fortunately I do that everyday, however with a complete version of the bible. Thus a more knowledgeable viewpoint.

Gosh, I can't remember the last time I spoke, heard anything from the Bishop. Excellent fella btw. And if that were the case, I wouldn't have so many disagreements with our current pastor.
What you describe is modern day Protestantism. Just look at those that picket funerals or the lock in step folks a Tempe faithful word Baptist, to see what blind worship yields.
My beef with you is the casual disregard of the one you claim we worship. The offhandedness of your remarks regarding the one that bore the light of the world is nothing short of disgraceful and you should be ashamed.

What should I be ashamed of? The fact that the Catholic church incorporated many Pagan rituals? The fact that the Catholic Church considers the pope to be Jesus Christ on Earth? The fact that you pray to Mary which isn't at all talked about in the Bible?
And just by using those people that picket funerals as an example of protestantism shows you really have absolutely no argument.
