Doesn't seem gross to me, but like something a kid would eat.
Apart from Chicago dogs, Chicago deep dish, and Detroit style pizza, the Midwest isn't known for its food. It's like the England of the US lol. Lots of casseroles, meat loaf, and the Skyline chili reminds me of those tuna jacket potatoes you see in the UK, with that unmelted cheese.
