we see the kitchen washer and dryer here a little…generally stackable models…more in modern apartments and condos with limited space as you mentioned. what i see way more of is a laundry room usually off or very near the kitchen/ see thes especially in southern states where they cant have basements.

I have, and it always surprised me. I never grew up with houses built on slabs before, so when people tell me they don't have a basement or cellar, it seems so unusual.

That could be it.
An average full swimming pool weighs approximately 70k pounds whereas it's speculated that a house weighs 80-160k pounds. Real close on one end…way over on the other.
