Don't know about those two, but I love Asian pears the best.

The red ones? I concur. Otherwise Bartlett as the other is gritty.

They are round in shape, light beige and wrapped in a styrofoam mesh in the store because they bruise very easily.
My neighbor has tree and I do find them gritty but not sure what type they are.

Oh ok. I like the red ones. The beige are ok. The green are gritty.

If you ever get the chance try an Asian pear. The flesh is very soft if they are properly ripened and they are juicy.

I’ve had them before. They are expensive iirc? I liked the red Anjou’s.

Yeah they are more expensive than other types of pears.

They go bad faster as well. My husband rarely eats fruit. He doesn’t like sweet stuff so I rarely buy fruit these days. We eat more salads.

I don't buy much fruit because I don't eat it fast enough and I end up with fruit flies. I HATE fruit flies.

Fruit goes bad too quickly. Sometimes I get the pre-cut fruit these days store puts in small containers.

Most of the fruit I buy is in containers. Strawberries, kiwi and pineapple

I buy Goldenberries often, but they're expensive for such a small container.

These aren't cut up. They're round little orange berries. They mostly seem to be imported from Colombia. Tiny package for $3.99 they are kind of sweet and sour.

I meant the strawberries and pineapple. They charge more if it's in a container in general

Oh yeah, because your paying for the time it took them to cut them up. I love fresh pineapple and tastes nothing like the canned stuff.

                                        What about Bosc?
I'm trying to find the Asian pears now.
Edit: The Bosc are brown, so I'm wondering if they're like the Barlett ones and are the gritty ones. I haven't eaten pears in years, so I don't remember which ones I used to get.
Edit #2: I just checked, and they're out of Asian pears!

THAT is the one I was trying to avoid! I didn't really know how to describe it, but it's gritty. I didn't know which type of pear was gritty. I'm looking for just a "clean" pear, and I've had them before, but I don't remember the name of them. I'm using them for smoothies, so definitely want them "grit-free"! So, stay away from Barlett pears then?
