And you know what the funny thing was? The motherfuck DIED instantly upon splashing down. The cup was within arms reach of me while i was gaming and the fly kept on landing on the outside of the cup at first, I kept batting it away and it was during one of these bats that it flew up and then just dunked it's self in.
There must have been only 2 literal seconds between the fly splashing down and me reaching the cup to investigate as like i said it was within arms reach and it was just lifeless in the brown liquid. I have seen spiders fall in cups before and they try and swim but this fly was just still as ****.
It was not a piping hot cup if tea by any means, it was made about 20 minutes previously.
Whats up with that? Do not get me wrong, any thing that gets between an Englishman and his brew deserves death, I am glad it perished.

Good because I thought that was a clever one Siggy.
Which reminds of another short lived invention.
And this one is for real.
                    Paper dresses from the 60's.
Did you ever hear of those?

I did hear of paper dresses and lots of other paper made garments Warren
I think the idea was to have great looking short term garments that were recyclable but they ran into issue with water, ink bleed and durability.
I could see them making a comeback though for White Parties and Freak Outs if that ever takes off

Yeah, can't wear them in the rain and I think folks don't see the point in a one or two time use investment.
And there were problems with the paper cuts from the underwear and bras.
Welp, so much for my idea for a toothpick car!

Well with modern techniques you could probably do anything you want and have some waterproofness and more durability about it Warren

Do you have more hemp products in Scotland than we do in America?
It used to be some kind of miracle product for rope and paper.
Then once marijuana became illegal so did hemp even though they are two different things.
Hemp has not made a comeback or is not as big as it used to be AFAIK.
Though I can dig it and wish it would.

Someone did have a hemp product business in my town even before weed was legal in any state.
I interviewed him for a very small, local paper.
I don't think that store is open anymore.

I don't think that store is open anymore.
Hemp used to be very useful Warren, lots of things were made with it
But, once the other uses for it became apparent it was cast out by the religious Right at the time.
Now it is seen as an easier thing to have as a recreational drug but the main purposes of hemp have yet to come back into fruition. They will though, it's just a matter of everyone being used to it being a normal thing to have around.
You'd be surprised how much the alternatives to it are grown in place which you'd never consider visiting
I don't toke myself, but I'm not against it and I'm not against hemp being a proper alternative to wood/cotton
