    Hardee's biscuits
Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm. Hardee's and Carl's Jr. make the best fast food breakfast biscuits for national chains in my opinion.

I grew up with a close southern relative. She often made biscuits and gravy even though she would never eat any kind of gravy. I preferred it on toast rather than the biscuits. I've eaten it since becoming a vegetarian just omitting the sausage bits. I like it once in awhile but never too much.

Biscuits and gravy is an all-time favorite of mine. I make a homemade gravy with just sausage, flour, and whole milk, then top mine with a few splashes of hot sauce.
        Damn, now I'm hungry

I love biscuits and gravy but don't eat it with sausage in the gravy, just the white gravy without meat in it. A lot of people prefer it this way.

I have never eaten 'biscuits and gravy'!
I have often tried to find an equivalent butt I don't think there is one here.
From what I can gather, the term 'biscuits' is totally different to biscuits here, the 'gravy' is different and even the 'sausages are different'.
If I was to try and make it here would I use a scone mixture, white sauce (bechamel) and what kind of 'sausages'?
We call British sausages, sausages. What are US sausages like?

I found this.since you probably can't find the equivalent to American pork sausage, this showed how to make your own.

                    Thanks sweetpea!
So American 'sausage' is a spicy pork mince mixture?
I hope you all won't be offended if I comment that it looks like the cat vomited on some scones?
I am sure it is delicious, however!

Actually that's a fairly good description, lol!

Lol, yeah. I'll agree although I've likened it to a dog doing it rather than a cat.

Ha, made me laugh with your gravy comment. I've always thought that except I always said a dog instead of a cat.
Usually, one would see this type of gravy served with chicken fried steak. A white gravy is not my preference. I like a dark gravy, cooking the roux long enough without burning it that gives it a nutty flavor. Essentially, a brown roux. It's what I'm accustomed to since I'm from south Louisiana in particular Cajun country.

Ha. The Marriott hotel chain used to always serve biscuits and gravy on their breakfast buffet. I'm talking 100% of their U.S. locations and many internationals. I've noticed that some no longer offer it.
Anywho, four years ago in London, I was standing behind a couple when the lady lifts the top of the biscuits and gravy warmer and says to her partner, "smells great, looks like vomit" as she lowered the lid. I immediately lift the lid and say "I'll tell you how it tastes." She was embarrassed for some reason and said "oh I'm so sorry, no offense." I chuckled and said "none taken." Not a clever response I know but it was a quick funny encounter.
