my grandma had a big problem with statins as well. She had begun to exhibit Alzheimer's-like symptoms out of nowhere, and I was suspicious.
At first, she denied it but once she went off the statins her symptoms cleared right up!
My dad's girlfriend also takes a ridiculous amount of those cholesterol drugs, and feels lethargic but refuses to stop them.
Docs nowadays argue over their point even, as cholesterol is made by the body.and secondly.they can't be sure that high levels really mean ANYTHING any more.
I gave up listening to so-called experts.and I just try to eat in moderation.
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.

When I first started taking them, I thought I was ok but I was having muscle pains but at the same time I was moving furniture as well as lifting big jugs of cat litter so I didn't think anything of it. I also started getting hot, I also got a flu shot at the same time so I thought that might cause the flashes (not a hot flash), I also started having wild dreams at night (I'm a person who really doesn't dream unless I take an aspirin or Aleve ), I was also extremely tired. What made me decide it was the statins (Atorvastatin 20 MG) was my husband, he saw the DR. on Tuesday and was put on the same statin and started having the same symptoms so we both quit taking them and both feel ok. I'm finished with going to the Dr. for the yearly Humana Wellness exam, I'm not one to go to a Dr. unless I'm truly sick or need antibiotics.
p.s. I also started having memory loss.
I know that some cholesterol is made by the liver and some is from the fats we eat so I'm just cutting down on the fats and cheese.
I really don't trust Doctors anymore, they don't care about their patients (especially females - the girls on this board know what I'm talking about).
I will never let you part, for you are always in my heart: MJ

I made up some stuffed green peppers yesterday because I knew I would be at the hospital most of today and get home just in time for the tricky treatersThat, with a little salad and some rice pudding.
Bte- father is out of ICU and showing progress. Things can get more serious when you are 92 -

Stuffed peppers are delicious, I was thinking of finding a good recipe for "Un-Stuffed Peppers", as full-size peppers tend to be hard for me to chew.
Glad your father is doing better athene!
