The brand is Soonjung. Great moisturizers and sunscreen too. At least 3 or 4 of my products are Soonjung. There are also other good, legit Korean brands on that website. If you order, just keep in mind that it takes a few weeks to get your products and a little goes a long way.

Thanks. I watched one of those YouTube shorts of this gay guy (supposedly a skin expert) and he said he gets those cheap skin treatment things (they look like little suppositories) at the Dollar Tree, and he says they're just as good as the expensive stuff. Evidently, they have the same ingredients.

I don't know to what you are referring when you're talking about skin treatments that look like suppositories. Nothing I use looks like that.
I'll pick things up at the Dollar Tree but never anything for skin care.

I think she's talking about those little capsules that usually contain serum.

Oooohhhh! Okay, now I know what you mean. Usually those ampules are for things like Vit-C or ceramides.
I still wouldn't use any "skin care" from the Dollar Tree.

                  I don't blame you. I wouldn't trust them either.
I prefer the Canadian chain called Dollarama because they actually sell well known brands.

It's this one for crepey skin, but I imagine it would be for the face too:

The thing about what he's doing is that if you apply pretty much any moisturizer onto your skin, you'll see immediate results. But those results don't last. You'll definitely see benefits if you do it every day, but the way he's making it sound by showing those "instant results" is a tad misleading. Once that's all absorbed by the skin and exposed to air, the "regular" skin tone will return. Like any other skin care, whatever you can be consistent with is what works.
He's talking about La Mer skin cream, which is around $400 for a very small jar. Their claim to fame is their seaweed broth. One major problem with it is that there is so much perfume/fragrance, it's definitely not for sensitive skin.

I remember watching an investigative report about a super wealthy man who sold jars of face cream that cost him about five cents to make, and he would sell it for something like $100. I recall seeing his ads in magazines too. He was so rich, they couldn't even contact him or get near enough to him to question him.
So, IMO, all those expensive creams are a ripoff.

I think a lot of them are just marketing ploys and branding.

Yes, I do, except when I've done a chemical peel or microneedling. Can't use retinol after those for about a week or so.

I don't do that much with my skin, but I do use a good cleaner, moisturizer and retinol. I drinks lots of water too.

My dad's 89 and always drank a lot of water and he doesn't have wrinkles. It's really weird.
I drink three litres a day.

Apparently I was incorrect. The proper word is ampule. That's not a word that's used often.
