I've only ever had a cat and they wash themselves.

we had a family dog years ago, I only ever remembering me and my mother bathing him once. He was a medium sized dog but we couldnt really pick him up to get him in the tub, he didnt like it even though he clearly trusted us.
I think because he was a rescue dog who was mistreated until we adopted him, he was never picked up as a pup only smacked around, so he probably had no idea what the **** we were trying to do. Thats my theory anyway. He always got a bit cautious with hugs too, like he would back away, despite being the one to apprach US for pets and stuff lol.
But despite that, he never smelt bad aside from the average dog breath, but he never seemed interested in making out with me anyway so nae bother.
I wish i was rich and not a lazy person, I would have like 3 dogs. -

Although most of your stories fall into the realm of fairy tales, I'll believe this one.
And with that (and thus also with your theory), you'll get a truly true story.
Lisa
was a Bobtail.
My friend and her husband bought her as a very young puppy from a breeder.
She was the cutest little thing you could imagine
and she grew up to be a big, friendly dog.
Bobtail Puppy (this one looks exactly like Lisa!
)
There are a million funny stories to tell about Lisa.
But eventually, she too grew old and developed skin problems.
She had to be bathed daily and treated with powder and skin cream.
Meanwhile, they had three small children, and it was simply too much for my friend.
So when she suggested the
'last solution'
, he got angry. A skin problem, he said, was no problem at all and no reason to give up on good old Lisa. (agreed…I voted for Lisa!)
The next time Lisa needed a bath, he took over…manly.
Many dogs hate to be bathed as Lisa did. Soap smell is a horror for dogs’ noses.
But eventually he had her in the bathtub. When he wanted to start the shower, she almost escaped.
Just as he caught her, he slipped on the smooth tiles and hit his head on the edge of the bathtub…BAM!
The last he saw was Lisa running out of the bath and then only stars.
Lisa lived to a very old age, and he continued to bath her every day until the end.
But to this day, he swears that Lisa laughed when she ran out of the bathroom.

is on revenge tour.
