That's a cute dove and it's very nice that you feed her.
What do you feed her?…looks like corn but I cannot clearly see it.
You probably already know that peeled sunflower
seeds are
power food
for almost all birdies.
Fun fact:
In the drugstore around the corner sunflower seeds for humans are cheaper than those for birdies. -

It's wheat. Sometimes I give her oats and sometimes a few sunflower seeds. All feathered people seem to love wheat though and I get a big sack of it for them.
️ Bird of the Year 2023
️ Whinchat
️
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whinchat
The contest isn't just for a special bird.
The birdies stand for a meaning.

Urgently wanted: Habitat and Food !!!
The whinchat decreasingly finds the sources of life it needs. A large proportion of the previously cultivated meadows have been converted into arable land or have fallen victim to intensive pasture farming. The use of pesticides also deprives the small meadow breeder of a
source of food
, as more and more
insects, spiders and other small creatures disappear
along with the agricultural poisons.
This has serious consequences: Whinchats no longer breed in many areas. Between 1980 and 2016 alone, the population in Germany fell by 57%. In the Red List of Germany's breeding birds from 2020, the bird of the year 2023 is considered critically endangered (category 2). The bird species is threatened with extinction regionally.

You can start the same contest for your dove and New Zealand!

Of course I do! That's why I feed the squirrels and why loving my animals feels so good to me as well as them. The comfort goes both ways!
