If humans suddenly disappear, what will happen with our planet?

Grass and foliage will take over the cities.
I don't doubt that that will happen, but I wonder what varieties of grass, foliage, and other plants/trees/herbs would ultimately flourish if humans disappeared? You have to consider that much of our flora and fauna on the earth have been genetically altered by human intervention.
If humans were gone, would the genetic modifications brought about by human intervention all eventually go away, and all plant and animal life would return to its former, natural biological "destiny" as it were? -
