All of those professions have protections in place to keep their people safe, as does football. The difference is those other jobs while dangerous aren't inherently disabling. Football is. Big hits over years are guaranteed to cause brain damage. The rules are in place to protect the players. You may find it entertaining to see them get knocked retarded but the players don't.

Those jobs you listed are not designed to be dangerous. Football is. You are meant to run into each other. We have found out that this results in permanent brain damage that leads to serious problems like dementia and suicide, amd even murder. Do you really not care about the players' health?

Yeah, those are all dangerous, but they take considerable effort to be as safe as possible. There is no reason why football wouldn't also take steps to ensure the safety of its participants.
