I did. I also picked the NBA to help the Lakers to a game 1 victory against Golden State (and they'll be gifted the win in Game 1 in all of the following series' that lead up to the NBA making sure old Lebron on the lowest seeded team ever wins a championship. That's a great storyline that will generate revenue in these playoffs which will carry over into subsequent years.)
I was thinking at first that the NBA would interfere as much as possible to get a Lakers-Celtics finals, but I'm starting to wonder if a storyline of #7 Seed Lakers vs. #8 Seed Miami in the finals wouldn't be even more interesting. In any case, the one thing I'm sure of is that the NBA will do everything possible (without being too blatant) to make sure Lebron gets his title. -

β 2 years ago(May 22, 2023 11:06 PM)Well if they wanted to help lebron win theyβre doing a lousy job. We are very likely getting a Denver nuggets vs Miami Heat final which couldnβt be a more random or less intriguing matchup ratings wise.

But wouldnβt it also be a great story if Lebron was able to lead the first nba team back from a 3-0 hole? But Denver is playing at their best now at just the right time, so the NBA may not realistically be able to help enough to get the Lakers the win.
