Same. It's weird because the weather forecast keeps changing. I looked at it, and there was only supposed to be one day of snow (starting tonight around midnight or so), and just snow for a few hours. But then we all started getting winter weather alerts. I checked my phone and saw that now we've got three days of heavy snow.
I love the winter, but as you pointed out, my back is not too appreciative of all the shoveling! This last one was really heavy snow, too!
We didn't get much snow in the beginning, but I think we're getting caught up!
I definitely need to take the dog out for some running around before the snow hits this time!

Daisy won't go out in the snow anymore so I have to leash her and bring her out to the backyard. (She won't go out by herself) Between the snow and all the salt they dump here it's a real pain in the butt. I'm looking to regular walks soon.

Can you get her little booties to protect her pads from the salt? I'm pretty sure they also make a waxy protective coating that you can rub into their toe beans to help protect them.
I've had to shovel pathways in the backyard through the snow for my dog to walk (just enough to go potty) because the snow is so deep (and about to get even deeper!) Can you shovel little paths for her, or does she just refuse to walk in the snow? I can't say I'd blame her. She's a delicate little lady, after all. Why should she freeze her tootsies?!

I do shovel a path for her to walk on but she still won't go out back herself. I usually make a path for her out front too, but I wasn't able to keep up with the snow this year.
Maybe I'll try the protective balm next year. I tried the boots and she refused to walk in them.
I'm off the hospital now sigh.

Can't say as I blame her for wanting to avoid the snow. She's a little princess and she's delicate! My dogs have all always rejected the booties as well!
Hospital? Yikes! I hope everything is okay and you're feeling better soon, Mark.

Same! It was in the 40s and it felt too warm for me, so I was thinking of putting the ACs in (or at least one of them) because I expected it to start warming up. Then the temps dropped. I sleep with the window open a bit, even in the winter.

That's why I don't live on the frozen tundra of the NE.

                    Smaaaaht-ass!
I love my frozen tundra of NE! I slept with the window open last night (just a few inches) and you can smell the snow and fresh air inside the house this morning! Well, at least inside the bedroom. Nothing beats the frozen tundra, lol
It's still snowing out, and we've got another storm coming in 2 days! Woot!

I thought the last snowstorm we had was a whopper, but wowza! This storm was even more severe. We got about twice as much snow. Because I have a very intense driveway, my guy has to use a bucket loader because the regular plows get stuck. Even tonight, when they were removing snow, it looked like he got stuck a few times. I love where I live, but my excessive driveway is the bane of winters.
One of the many upsides is that it's so beautiful outside with all that fresh, clean, white, sparkly snow that's glistening in the moonlight. It's too deep for my dog, however. We're having, erm, difficulties taking care of business!
                        How are your kitties?

The kitties are fine, thanks! They stay indoors, and we just had a dusting while the frozen tundra was being buried by snow.

Oh, good! I'm glad that the kitties are doing well. That makes me happy for them. It's wonderful that you only had to deal with a dusting of snow.
Up here on the frozen tundra, the giant plows were still out on the roads and highways today cleaning up. They'll probably scrape most of it up just in time for tomorrow when we're due for more snow!

There are three paths shoveled through the backyard, so my dog has a way to go potty. When he's out there, the snow is higher than he is, so all I see is a tail sticking up in air as he trots along the paths. The snow is up to my mid-thigh.

I thought I had a lot of snow but sounds like you've got way more! We've had many snowfalls but no major storms.
This is the state of my backyard at the moment.

That's still some mighty snowfall! You and I did the same thing with shoveling pathways for them lol
It looks like she only ventured out a wee bit before deciding, nope, not going any further, and figured out how to take care of things within a short distance.
It was 40F (4C) today, and beautiful outside. We're getting more snow on Sunday.
