We just had another winter storm…

Smaaaaht-ass!
I love my frozen tundra of NE! I slept with the window open last night (just a few inches) and you can smell the snow and fresh air inside the house this morning! Well, at least inside the bedroom. Nothing beats the frozen tundra, lol
It's still snowing out, and we've got another storm coming in 2 days! Woot!

Moi?
Have fun with all that
frozen tundra,
and thank your lucky stars that it's snowing
out,
and not
in!

I thought the last snowstorm we had was a whopper, but wowza! This storm was even more severe. We got about twice as much snow. Because I have a very intense driveway, my guy has to use a bucket loader because the regular plows get stuck. Even tonight, when they were removing snow, it looked like he got stuck a few times. I love where I live, but my excessive driveway is the bane of winters.
One of the many upsides is that it's so beautiful outside with all that fresh, clean, white, sparkly snow that's glistening in the moonlight. It's too deep for my dog, however. We're having, erm, difficulties taking care of business!
How are your kitties?

The kitties are fine, thanks! They stay indoors, and we just had a dusting while the frozen tundra was being buried by snow.

Oh, good! I'm glad that the kitties are doing well. That makes me happy for them. It's wonderful that you only had to deal with a dusting of snow.
Up here on the frozen tundra, the giant plows were still out on the roads and highways today cleaning up. They'll probably scrape most of it up just in time for tomorrow when we're due for more snow!

There are three paths shoveled through the backyard, so my dog has a way to go potty. When he's out there, the snow is higher than he is, so all I see is a tail sticking up in air as he trots along the paths. The snow is up to my mid-thigh.

That's still some mighty snowfall! You and I did the same thing with shoveling pathways for them lol
It looks like she only ventured out a wee bit before deciding, nope, not going any further, and figured out how to take care of things within a short distance.
It was 40F (4C) today, and beautiful outside. We're getting more snow on Sunday.

You and everyone else, it would seem. Most are tired of the winter and just want Spring to get in gear and arrive.
What's a "comfortable" temp for you when you feel like you can stop bundling up? For me it's 4C to 12C.

I'd say about the same for me. We're going to be hitting 12C and 14C in the next few days.
Going thru some really horrible crap now, but the weather gives me something to look forward to.
I'm looking forward to be able to walk Daisy again around the neighborhood and going to the river. -

That's lovely weather.
Are you not feeling well? If not, I hope you feel better soon and what you have to contend with passes quickly. Weather has a huge impact on how we all feel, physically and emotionally. Watch some Lucy Darling to get a few belly-laughs in there!

Three paths for one dog?
Or one path for a dead dog?

Well, technically two.
But when the snow is, as I mentioned, up to my mid-thigh area (and that's all of the
actual
depth of the fallen snow, the blanket of snow in my backyard,
not
snow drifts. The snow drifts or plowed piles are
much
higher and I can't make it over them. The whole thick blanket of snow is incredibly deep. When it fell, it was partly up my door. When it came time for potty, the snow was just so deep, so those pathways simply had to be shoveled with one path leading to the middle of the yard, one path off to the left towards the bushes, and the other path off to the right where the trees are. Other than that, no running for now back there. That's where the dog park comes in handy.
I saw someone tying balloons on their dogs' collars when they went outside because of the snow depth. All you could really see is piles of floof jumping through the snow, but only the balloons were always visible.
