Not a bad choice, The Weeknd has been killing it with streams since he went from alt-rnb to pop. I wanted Ariana this year but this a nice consolation prize.

I disagree about Blinding lights but you’re right about The Weeknd’s career shift .He managed to reinvent himself from underground alt-rnb and experimental pop to full on mainstream pop star. That’s very difficult to do being as low-key a person as he is.
IMO the best pop song of the year either Don't start Now or Hallucinate by Dua Lipa with Blinding lights a close 3rd.

Daft punk should get their own headline performance though not play as a feature to The Weeknd. Imagine Around the World mix version at half time with the interstella 5555 anime projecting on the field.
That would be the greatest halftime ever.

It would be dope if they show up regardless. Iirc those dudes stopped doing shows after the RAM tour seven years ago. But even if they’re there as a guest performer the show will be amazing.
