I am watching a nature show. I watched a Chimpanzee locate a bees nest that the bees cleverly hide deep within a tree trunk. The narrator says that Chimpanzees are the samrtest animals in the Congo because they know where to find those bee nests and how to break into the tree trunk in order to steal the bees' honey.
There are also the gorillas in the Congo. Lots of animal wildlife in the Congo. Its savage fight for food and resources. Survival of the fittest.
Which wild animal inhabitant would you follow in order to survive until you were rescued? -

A rainforest expert I met in Australia said that if you are lost in a rain forest you should walk until you find running water and then follow it downstream. I’d rather do that instead of following a bunch of wild animals.

When water flows downstream it often flows in the direction of rivers or lakes where there is more chance of encountering human habitats. You are also usually heading in the direction of the sea and once you hit that you can follow the shoreline until you encounter human habitation. Of course there’s little chance of me being in that situation but if I were I’d follow the advice of someone who seemed to know what he was talking about.
