I don't know…I've been thinking about what you said. I know I've seen it, but I need more details. What did the guy look like? What did the woman look like? They are both white? During what decade was the film made in? So far, I've been thinking The Loveless from 1981, but that's probably not it.

I'm pretty sure they were both white as I thought it may have starred either De Niro or Streep.
I think it was the 80's.
I asked on chatgpt about De Niro playing a mechanic and it suggested Stanley & Iris.
I spooled through that but didn't see anything that looked familiar. -
