    Haven’t seen this in years, probably around when it came out. I liked it then and saw things in it that I didn’t pay attention to first time around. Atmospheric, slow build, moody and creep factor. 8/10
    If you can’t say something nice, say something clever but devastating.

      Haven't seen it in years either, but as I recall Richard Gere's character in the movie isn't quite as nuts as John Keel, the author of the book, was in real life
      The movie was mostly filmed in Pennsylvania, but if you ever have the chance to visit Point Pleasant, the Mothman Museum there does have a sizable collection of memorabilia related to the movie (as well as the video game
      Fallout 76
      ). I'll have to see if I can find any of the pictures from my visit later.

        That’s really interesting. I know this was based on an incident that happened. I liked Gere in this. Loved his vulnerability. And I love Linny in just about anything. Great cast, with the possible exception of Messing whom I see as Grace. Can’t get away from that.
