- Top Gun: Maverick - I honestly had no idea I'd like this one as much as I did. Was the only movie that I saw twice in theaters so far. Shit was just an amazing experience and appealed to the kid in me that dreamt of being a pilot.
- The Northman - Honestly couldn't see any movie supplanting this one at #1. Figured it'd still be there by the end of the year. While I liked Top Gun more (just slightly), this one was a much better movie.
- The Batman - Seemed this one rubbed a few of you ***** the wrong way. I forgive you for that. But as a guy who's been a Batman fan since he was 3, this was everything I could want in a Batman movie.
- Everything Everywhere All at Once - A lot of **** happened in this one and all of it was great. Amazing how none of it felt incomplete and the pacing never felt rushed.
- Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie - I know none of you have heard of this. It's a prequel movie for an anime series called Jujutsu Kaisen. Shit ****in slapped so hard.
- Nope - Not a particularly well-made movie, but there was a lot that worked, and I had a pretty good time. Like I said in that Nope thread, the camerawork/cinematography was excellent.
- Bullet Train - Dug it quite a bit. Like with Nope, I was sufficiently entertained by it, even though the movie wasn't what I'd call well-made. Had a lot of cartoonish ultraviolence and fun characters, and I just dug its style.
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - The movie was better than the average MCU film. Seeing Sam Raimi get to go full Raimi in an MCU movie was satisfying. The writing was pretty **** and some of the performances seemed phoned-in.
- The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent - Some pretty funny moments, some that fell flat. Pedro Pascal stole the movie. The movie was a waste of potential.
- Thor: Love and Thunder - another movie that wasted its potential. Honestly didn't like it much except for certain scenes and Christian Bale as Gorr.
I'd include Jackass Forever to give the list a nice round ten, but I can't consider that a movie so much as it was an hour and a half long reunion episode. Next up is probably Bullet Train.
Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the honored one.

Jurassic World wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen, but I will admit I forgot every second of it the moment I left the theater.
Men was just a little TOO weird to be enjoyable. I did appreciate the shout-out to Cernunnos, though.

Yeah, heard that **** gets really weird in the third act. Probably would've put me off from watching it a few years ago, but after all the weird anime I've checked out in the past few years that I surprisingly liked, I'd probably vibe with this film's wavelengths.
Was going to check it out opening weekend but none of the damn theaters were playing it. And then I just forgot about it until you just mentioned it.

I love a good mindfuck, but it was weird in a way that makes the word 'weird' seem unfitting due to being underwhelming. It was weird for the sake of it β the message had been hammered home without it.
Let me know what you think, though, after you see what I mean.

lolβ¦those are just the recent releases
I've been watching a lot more this year than usual.
Probably due to spending less time on the boards and not hanging out in chatsβ¦you'd be surprised by how much free time that'll give ya
