I can't think of any actors that I'm put off by due to their politics. Sure there are some conservative artists I don't like…but never have even before knowing their stances…like rob Schneider and kid rock…just lame entertainers. Bruce Willis Clint Eastwood jean smart james woods dennis Quaid are all cool in my book as far as their art goes…I can differentiate betwixt the two….can you? -

I think "artist" is the key word there. Is their primary goal to create art or to spread their political viewpoint? People like Kid Rock and Ted Nugent seem to have shifted into the latter category over the course of their careers (although their art was never great to begin with), while Clint Eastwood has remained focused on making great films.

Fred Bear is the greatest song ever made. So much better than your favorite song "Imagine" by Faggot Lennon. That song sucks ass.
"I am Kamala Harris, my pronouns are she and her, and I am a woman sitting at the table wearing a blue suit." -A fucking idiot -

it would never make me stop liking their work, but if someone is constantly talking politics I will avoid their social media or interviews. that goes for conservatives and liberals I don't want to hear about any of it

There seems to be some correlation. Brando and De Niro, among my favourites, are both left-wing. I never liked Eastwood or Willis very much (especially the latter), so I don't think there's a political correlation. I liked Kurt Russell, though he turned out to be rightish….

Sometimes. It depends on varying factors and how extreme they are, but it is definitely something that works against the person.
I do still love Ghostbusters even though it's a love letter to capitalism, and I'm guessing at least at the time, Ivan Reitman was right leaning, at least economically -

Yes, and there's a capitalist subtext.

Usually the ones that lean hard into right wing politics do it because they're talentless hacks with a career that's dead or dying. They'll try squeeze a few more dollars and years of relevance from toothless idiots by saying they're being blacklisted. The Clint Eastwoods of the world don't need to do that because they actually have something useful to offer people.
Sean Penn probably has politics closer to mine but I usually try to avoid watching him because he seems like an obnoxious ass clown who hasn't done anything interesting since Ridgemont High even though he keeps winning Oscars for some reason.
