We got some from a farm earlier this week. We had bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches, then made a tomato cucumber salad with basil with the rest of them. Lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper. A recipe from his side of the family.

I do have many friends from Norway though Slash dot, in fact I've had breakfast with some of them on many occasions
Never once has the idea of raw bacon been floated by any of them. I think perhaps your source of information may be incorrect

If I'm having a dinner party I'll make my own mayo but generally for sandwiches and the like I do just use whatever jar they have in the shops
