It was a prank, but the teacher was in on it, and went out to chase them in a friendly manner and got run over while doing so. Apparently throwing toilet paper over a teachers house is an American past time and this particular teacher was looking forward to it. -

Why? throwing toilet paper over a teachers house is an American tradition and the victim enjoyed the practice, what happened was a tragic accident that could have happened to him if he was running out his house for any reason.
Thats the argument I would make in court. And it should get them off because again, it's a tradition so why would these young retards see a problem with doing it? especially as the victim was their friendly teacher who they had a decent friendly relationship with. -

All five teenagers have also been charged with criminal trespassing and littering on private property. Despite the tragic loss, Hughes' family have called for the charges against the teenagers to be dropped.
These charges ain't that serious anyway.
