Yeah, I was. I also did Catechism, but a year or two late. I think there was some other thing you're supposed to do as a teenager in Catholicism like confirmation or something.
My parents weren't very religious. They did **** out of tradition when it was convenient, but it wasn't hammered into us and we rarely went to church. I went to church more with my grandma than my parents… or with my friends at their Baptist churches, where I was told I wasn't a real Christian because I was Catholic lol. -

Not exactly. The branch of Baptists I grew up in had a "dedication ceremony," when I was like five. Don't ask me to explain the significance, because I can't. I was baptised as an adult when I joined The Episcopal Church, which is basically the American branch of the Church of England.
