Do you know the number of the bus Ricky will need to get from the city centre out to where Benny is Bobby?
I think he's out West, might be easier getting a train

Well whilst Ricky is STREETWISE in the sense of his glue sniffing and staying at the railway tracks for days on end, he doesn’t really have much BUS SENSE. I can see that he gets on the bus to Manchester ok but I’ve written down bus numbers, which stands to catch them at which times. There’s a few different ones he can get to Benny’s from the city centre. Another option for him would be to get the train to Manchester Victoria and then maybe a tram towards where Benny is…but I’m not sure if the trams venture out towards his neck of the woods.

I know nothing of the trams of Manchester Bobby (Except to see them) and so I've no idea if trams go out Benny's way
Buses are good though. Shame you couldn't get Ricky to go to Preston first. Preston to Manchester is a brilliant route
So, when is he off?

It would make no sense if he went to Preston because it is further away to where he’s going. I would be EXTENDING his travel time and ADDING to his journey. I’ll put him on the bus anyway, that is easiest because if he misses one then it will only be half an hour until the next one AND I can have a word with the BUS DRIVER as Ricky gets on and ask him to let Ricky know when it’s time to get off.
I’m hoping that he can get off on Saturday. I’m working all day tomorrow but free all Saturday so I can make sure that he gets on that X43 bus safely and he can ring me if there are any problems when he gets to Manchester.

Do you want to know something weird….
Colin Ritman made Benny and I brothers. I remember a time before we were. Benny remembers a time before we were. You remember a time before we were (no doubt due to being closely involved).
Everybody else (including Ricky) does not remember a time before . It is as though we have always been brothers. A bit like in Buffy the Vampire Slayer when that sister turned up and no one recalled a time that she had not been there.

I don’t believe that there is such a thing as coincidence.
I don’t know how Colin managed to do it, but I hope that he didn’t CAUSE her death so that he could use her LIFE FORCE in order to make this happen.
I’m over the moon at Benny and I becoming brothers, but I wouldn’t want that at the expense of somebody else’s life.

Well hopefully everything will settle down now that you and Benny are brothers and Ricky and him will have a good time together come Saturday on until…how long is Ricky away Bobby?

Well it depends on how long Benny will have him for I suppose. The longer the better really as I think it will really do Ricky some good. Benny doesn’t actually know that Ricky is coming yet so I haven’t asked him how long.

Yes it will be a shock when Ricky turns up at his door, but a pleasant one I hope.
I’m also hoping that looking after Ricky will be good for Benny. Maybe mature him a bit and in turn I’m hoping that Ricky will mature with him. I’m hoping that the two of them will visit museums and bookshops and all that type of thing.

I was perhaps being a bit unrealistic before. Id be happy enough though if they just do things together such as enjoying a nice pub lunch of steak pie and chips together of a Sunday.
Also I thought that I would test the waters a bit and see how Benny might feel here.

No. I think it is better if Ricky goes there to STAY! It will be really good for him. People don’t always know what they want. They THINK that they wouldn’t like something, but if they TRY it they often see that they enjoy it more than they thought that they would.

It will do them both a lot of good. I’ll be packing Ricky off on that X43 bus soon with further instructions how how to get to Benny’s when he gets to the city centre. He has been told to get straight on to the next bus after leaving the first bus and not to be going around the various Wetherspoons which Manchester centre has to offer.
