I’m trying to find that YouTube video I watched sometime last year. This guy went to all of the pubs in York and had a pint in every single one.
Well there's The Cross Keys at one end of that street and The Old White Swan at t'other.
I'm a David Mitchell fan and so I'm going with the Swan

I’ve been to The White Swan before, yes I have! The last time I was in York. I ate there too. The food wasn’t amazing but it was a nice pub to just sit and read in.
However and alas, neither of these are correct this time. Here’s another clue, the first part of its name is regal.

Some people think that The Golden Slipper has a regal name Bobby, so I suppose it could be there
It's next door to a dodgy place though where a woman and her baby try to block people from getting in there and having a pint. So watch out if that's where you are going

No that is not it!
It’s also not the Kings Arms…I will however be going there again as it’s a lovely pub by the river. Lots of people leave it a bad review as they claim they get abused by the staff, but I only ever have a positive experience whenever I go.

Right, here's how I would have gone about giving a clue for there…
Where the good male ram bolts right away from the massacre safari, resting beneath a monarch's tree is where you can mend your calibre spasms from running.
I think you should take both blues and a map of York onto the main boards proper Bobby and see which clue leads the most people to the correct location

That sounds like a really fun game and an ace challenge to present to the boards as a way of breaking up their day with a mental challenge! However they all ignore me on there so there’s probably not much point.
So the Royal Oak do a three course menu for £22.50. I have decided that I shall have calamari for staters, sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I am however torn between fish and chips or steak and ale pie for main.

I'd probably go for a quick pint the lunchtime before and have a scout about to see what they each look like straight out of the kitchen and onto customers tables. I'd make my mind up that way
But if it's a Monday ditch the fish idea. You don't get fresh fish on a Monday

On day two he decided to climb up Clifford’s Tower. I myself have been up Clifford’s Tower as a boy. He did struggle getting up these steps though in Clifford’s Tower! I think that he struggled with these steps because he drinks a lot of beer and it’s not good for you.

He did mention the stairs! If he drank fewer pints of beer in a week then he would find stairs far easier to tackle. Anyway it looks like a great place…I might buy some beer from there to take away.

I thought that they were all in the wrong apart from the bald headed chappie who was reasonable and polite. I read in the comments that they ‘had words’ off camera. I wish I would have been there to see that.
Yes the first one looked far more interesting. There’s lots of hidden things to see in York such as a pub with a listed interior. He went in there earlier in the video and the owner called John was more than happy to be filmed on camera and he went on and on about the history of it. There appeared to be nothing more he loved than dropping knowledge! He went on and on and on and on…. Eventually I just had to skip past him because he was boring me.
