Ok, is it The Duke of York?
No. ONE FINAL CLUE…
A woman and her baby (mentioned earlier in this thread) may well impede my progress after all.
There. I’m sure you can get it from that.

Well, rumour has it that if you run quick from the corner with Hidden Hearing on it - you can get into the Royal Oak deftly Bobby
It's the getting back out that becomes the problem
Right, here's how I would have gone about giving a clue for there…
Where the good male ram bolts right away from the massacre safari, resting beneath a monarch's tree is where you can mend your calibre spasms from running.
I think you should take both blues and a map of York onto the main boards proper Bobby and see which clue leads the most people to the correct location

That sounds like a really fun game and an ace challenge to present to the boards as a way of breaking up their day with a mental challenge! However they all ignore me on there so there’s probably not much point.
So the Royal Oak do a three course menu for £22.50. I have decided that I shall have calamari for staters, sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I am however torn between fish and chips or steak and ale pie for main.

I suppose you'll just need to see how you feel on the day Bobby. Don't commit and then if a special shows up that you weren't expecting and it tickles your fancy you could give that a go
I'm a sucker for pie me, but I also love a food fish and chips.
I'd probably go for a quick pint the lunchtime before and have a scout about to see what they each look like straight out of the kitchen and onto customers tables. I'd make my mind up that way
But if it's a Monday ditch the fish idea. You don't get fresh fish on a Monday

That is a very good idea to investigate beforehand. I also like the idea of the specials board possibly taking my fancy.
I WAS leaning towards the fish actually, but on second thoughts best not. I mean I’m having calamari for starters and that might have been TOO MUCH SEAFOOD!!

Calamari isn't really a fish though Bobby
You have it battered, with lemon and a beer. It's like crisps but better for you
I don't think some squid rings can spoil a nice plate of fish and chips
Keep an open mind, some of the best things are discovered that way

I shall see how the mood swings me doth the time. I’m just watching a video from a channel called ‘Real Ale Craft Beer’ and he’s going around all the old historical pubs of York. On day two he decided to climb up Clifford’s Tower. I myself have been up Clifford’s Tower as a boy. He did struggle getting up these steps though in Clifford’s Tower! I think that he struggled with these steps because he drinks a lot of beer and it’s not good for you.

He probably thought he was at the The House of Trembling Madness in Stonewall
Whoever put a pub above a beer shop with stairs like that should be investigated Bobby

I'm guessing he makes it up and down OK or the video wouldn't be out. But he should mention the stairs
He did mention the stairs! If he drank fewer pints of beer in a week then he would find stairs far easier to tackle. Anyway it looks like a great place…I might buy some beer from there to take away.

I thought you would have checked it out if you knew about it.
It's all the rage with tourists visiting.
Mind you, lots of the bars in York are
Nice place, no Bath but people visiting Bath would say no York!

Apparently there’s TWO Trembling Legs pubs! There’s that one that I mentioned earlier and another one that he visits. At about 1 hour 26 minutes into the video, he goes to the second Trembling Leg to meet up with his drunk mate. The two of them then continue to drink in there until it’s gone dark. They both get absolutely wankered and film themselves talking a load of right ****e. Then this gay couple in the background take umbrage at being filmed by two simpletons who are obsessed with beer. Have a look…

They are pretty pished Bobby
It's the other Madness with the stairs, that's the new one and it's all the one floor
Must be a couple of months ago, it's dark by 8:20 there. The guys in the background were a bit over the top thinking they were being filmed, but the boys were ripping it with how long they were filming too. And the boys were a bit cheeky

I thought that they were all in the wrong apart from the bald headed chappie who was reasonable and polite. I read in the comments that they ‘had words’ off camera. I wish I would have been there to see that.
Yes the first one looked far more interesting. There’s lots of hidden things to see in York such as a pub with a listed interior. He went in there earlier in the video and the owner called John was more than happy to be filmed on camera and he went on and on about the history of it. There appeared to be nothing more he loved than dropping knowledge! He went on and on and on and on…. Eventually I just had to skip past him because he was boring me.

Id' say it was his mate who didn't keep up the payments on his domain name that was rude, but right at the end he was too.
Bald chappie was quite nice about the whole thing. Probably should just have left it to them though (Or asked the bar staff to move them).
Yeah, people with passions are great. But they can go on about them for a while can't they Bobby
Mind you, at least they know what they are talking about. Round here everyone's an expert on political histories but can't provide the basics beyond first year uni student about what any of it means
Makes for a good laugh watching them though

I saw two drunken berks with some over emotional creature behind them who was flapping his arms about and screaming like some hysterical female. Only John Luke Pickerd was the adult there on that day.
Also I went to that pizza place that you recommended today for lunch and had two slices. It was yummy!

The Block?
Was it one of their lunchtime specials were you get a slice and a drink for a fiver?
How's the weather in York going Bobby? You thinking about heading up to the Oak to check out the fish from a distance with a pint?

They didn’t even tell me about that deal! Anyway I got two slices because I was hungry.
The weather is lovely at the moment though it may rain later on. I’m just going to decide spur of the moment I think when I get there. Right now I think I’m going to have a bath to cool down as the Travelodge room has a bath/shower combination thing.
