but finding good recent hip hop is like trying to draw blood from a stone
then you are just clueless about where to look for it. seriously.
Jay-Z, Ja Rule & Eminem are all boring af.

yes they are and have awful discographies, but they were and still are culturally relevant so I wanted to make a point to listen to their work
also I learned that jay-z is a big cry baby pussy and also he cheated on beyonce so I don't have as much respect for him as I did before I listened to all his albums

mf doom
he might be a good rapper, but his delivery sucks and his production is ****ing awful
I judge artists based on if their music is good, which requires more than just quality lyricism
Uh, summa-lumma, dooma-lumma
I will make a point to check out every artist on this list though. next week.

i liked his current joint project with Juicy J (
Live and in Color
, "20 Years Later" is a masterful track on that album), but other than that he's rather meh to me.

I have to say ..and it's probably my age…but I think it's been dead for a bit now. For me it was the move away from sampling. Turning it into a billion dollar commodity seems to have stunted the soul of the music.
But…things change…glad the youth still enjoy what hip hop has evolved into

no…as stated i no longer care for what its evolved into…note that i used the possitive term evolved rather than a more negative one. i also stated that i am glad the genre still has a listening base. what i submitted was just friendly feedback that didnt exactly align with your opinion. this happens

The only time top 40 was any good was before the late 90's. The lack of rap doesn't make it better. Pop music atill sucks, with only a few exceptions here and there
The issue isn't the genre. Almost every genre has good artists. I'm just tired of the artists that get forced upon us. -
