Trying to inflict a death of 1000 cuts vs just chopping off someones head is still an attempt to inflict death. Their goal was eventually banning all guns. That is why they refuse to work with conservatives. Conservatives are trying to curb unnecessary deaths. They just want guns banned outright. At least folks like warren are honest about it. It is one of his only redeeming qualities. He has some stupendously stupid ideas but he holds them honestly.

Try the same logic in real life. Go to the nearest police station pull a gun and open fire. Don't worry, you'll be fine. After all, by your logic it is not you shooting at cops, it was the gun. I am sure they will understand and allow you to return home afterwards.
