Do you care how your veggies are cut?

If you're eating a salad or pizza, for example, does it matter to you?
For some reason, I'll only enjoy it if the veggies are sliced. If they're diced, my mouth rebels and I don't enjoy the dish.

I think I developed my preferences from my grandmother's cooking and my great-grandmother's cooking. Off hand, I don't recall diced veggies in their dishes.
I was also eating Macrobiotics for quite a while, and if you're following it to the letter, there are very strict rules for how you cut each piece of food and even how you cook them and what foods should not be cooked together (such as just stir-frying a bunch of veggies together, as that would be a total no-no!)
