Fresh squeezed orange juice

The machines are probably quicker and less messy, but I've found that doing it by hand allows me to get the most juice out of the fruit. It does get rather sticky, though.

Not with the wooden reamer that I posted. When I use it to get the juice, just the juice goes into the cup and the pulp collects on the wooden ridges. I had to make the choice to remove the pulp from the tool and actively put it into my juice.

You always have to clean up when preparing food of any sort. I just wipe the pulp off into the trash and clean the tool off in the sink. No big deal.

If you look for reasons to avoid doing things or listing off things that "might" happen and focus on the "what ifs" because you don't want to do something, that is all you will ever see. I just wanted a glass of orange juice, and it was worth the squeeze. It really was not all that complicated.

I have done it before, and that's how I know. I'm not blindly commenting on something without knowing what I'm talking about.
I have squeezed oranges (one is never enough), and one of them could not taste good. Maybe too sweet or bitter. I don't care to have extra things to clean and throw away. I also don't find much difference between concentrate and fresh squeezed.

That must be incredible. I would love to have that. Do you make fresh squeezed orange juice for yourself very often? (I know it's a giant raise to the glucose levels, but it tasted so fresh and refreshing as a treat!)
I used to have a lemon tree in the yard of one place that I lived, and my current yard used to have a pear tree, but it stopped producing fruit.

I mostly give them away because it bears a lot of fruit that I can’t finish myself. But every now and then I get a craving for freshly squeezed juice so I’ll indulge.

That's nice of you to give away the oranges from your tree.
I don't drink juice, but that sudden craving hit me hard and I needed a glass of fresh squeezed OJ! I'm so glad that I had the oranges to do that. I have two oranges left so I'll be able to have another glass. Drinking juice is definitely one of those "once in a blue moon" type of cravings.

Cool! I had to rewatch several times at the beginning. They made it look like they got a lot of juice out of one orange. I'd get this machine as a Christmas present for Vlab (to use for all those oranges he doesn't scan at self-checkout).
