Buttigieg had gone on an extended break after his husband adopted twins in 2021, only returning this morning to find that the entire Biden administration had been replaced, and his job had been given to someone else.
"Wow, was I really gone that long?"
a confused Buttigieg reportedly asked upon entering the White House.
"I know I extended my maternity leave a bit, but wow! I didn't think I was away that long. There's a new president? Really?"

That was really funny when the surrogate had the baby, then he and his husband took a picture with the baby, all laying together in the hospital bed(for some reason, neither of them gave birth) then Pete took like the next 4 months off for paternity leave(nobody noticed) for a pregnancy where neither he nor his spouse experienced any single sort of trauma from a pregnancy that needed time to recover from. Classic Democrat mindset.

Yeah, when one of the spouses give birth. Neither he nor his husband gave birth, obviously, so neither he nor his husband needed time to heel and recover. They were playing pretend. Not to mention most maternity leave isn't 4 months, either.

It's meant to help them adjust to life with a baby. Especially during the time when they're completely helpless newborns. Even 4 months would be considered a ****ty amount of leave in the developed world for moms or dads. You ignorant barren whore.

So we can agree that when you said it's like this for most of the world, that was obviously completely wrong because 4 months is not normal for most of the world. You're a Marxist moron so you personally think it should be normal, but that's irrelevant.
Secondly, maternity leave is significantly longer because the mother needs to recover, literally the reasoning for it, paternity leave is much shorter, and is for the father to yes, bond with their new child and also help the mother who just got done giving birth and can't do much. These are two men who experienced zero trauma from the childbirth, who disappeared for months while getting paid by the taxpayer while our supply lines collapsed and trains derailed, things he was in charge of.
No, sorry, they were playing house, the incredibly long maternity leave they took was completely unnecessary.

Hmm, I will give you some partial credit because honestly I didn't know countries did give that long of paternity leave. That said, you did provide some countries where this length of time is normal, however, that isn't the world wide norm, that's just a small set that fit your claim. Global average paternity leave is 1.98 weeks per The Google.
That said, again, this is obviously a different situation, as I've stated, because neither of them gave birth, they bought their baby, neither one of them has any trauma to recover from.
