No they didn't. They popularized a lot of stuff, but they didn't come up with it.
The people they influenced were better than them. Almost every Beatles cover is miles better than the original. So, I appreciate their place is music history but as a band yo enjoy, they were worth exploration, but they're not a band I keep going back to.

Oasis are just some Britpop band with only two decent albums (their first two) and some B sides. Britpop wise there are far superior bands…Blur, Pulp, Manics
