I like it. This is one of the better ones if you canβt get some from a Japanese market.
I also like red bean ice cream.

Does it have an umami flavour to it? Something to balance out any potential sweetness?
I would totally be willing to try it. I'm curious. I've just never seen it anywhere or ever heard of it before.

Not at all. Itβs mildly sweet, which is why I like it. I donβt like a lot of ice creams because to me they taste too sweet. Most Japanese restaurants carry it. And if there is a Japanese food store, they usually have it.

Bean ice-cream in a Japanese store? That's interesting.
I agree with you as to why I rarely eat ice-cream. I find that most of the time, it's far too sweet. I wish it were possible to find an ice-cream without artificial sweeteners and perhaps made with extremely low amounts of sugar (I know that some has to be included). I think I'd like to try something like that! Never found it yet, though lol

Red bean ice cream. The best!
Seems so many sweet snacks have too much sugar or even worse, high fructose corn syrup. Blah.

That's the stuff I dislike! The HFCS is the worst. You can taste a difference between that and cane sugar. I'm not sure what happened, but when we started swapping out cane sugar for HFCS, foods started tasting sickly sweet.
