I don't know about the last 10 years, you might have to go back further.
Grouplove
is very good if you like indie pop.
Futherback of course you have the The White Stripes/Jack White.
The Killers
But out of all the "The" bands (The Hives suck)…I'd like to nominate a fantastic band that was pretty much the main influence of Arctic Monkeys, and they even said so.
Even you can't be too smug not to appreciate them:

Pearl Jam imitators killed rock. Creed, Matchbox 20, Nickelback, etc. It became the dominant style in popular rock music in the second half of the 90s up to the mid 2000s and it's all so generic as **** that people eventually lost interest and moved on. There really hasn't been a major new sound in rock since the 90s. The genre is just tapped out.

Even at its peak nu-metal was getting crushed by the Pearl Jam clones. The big nu-metal bands like Limp Bizkit, Korn, Linkin Park, Staind, never had a number one song. Meanwhile Nickelback, Creed, Matchbox 20 all were pumping out number one hits and selling tens of millions of albums. Both styles in rock contributed to it dying though.
