The frenzy over Oasis just goes to show how shit modern music is…

Pearl Jam imitators killed rock. Creed, Matchbox 20, Nickelback, etc. It became the dominant style in popular rock music in the second half of the 90s up to the mid 2000s and it's all so generic as **** that people eventually lost interest and moved on. There really hasn't been a major new sound in rock since the 90s. The genre is just tapped out.

Even at its peak nu-metal was getting crushed by the Pearl Jam clones. The big nu-metal bands like Limp Bizkit, Korn, Linkin Park, Staind, never had a number one song. Meanwhile Nickelback, Creed, Matchbox 20 all were pumping out number one hits and selling tens of millions of albums. Both styles in rock contributed to it dying though.

But that's what I don't get. Surely posting femboy selfies of yourself pouting and posting vocaroos exposing the fact you sound like Louis Spence and Alan Carr's love child counteracts all of that.
