Even though I wrote it years ago I kept changing the last verse.
I wanted to show how soldiers are to blame for invasions and murder just as much or even more for those that put them there since they are the ones that pull the trigger or push the button to drop the bombs where they can choose not to take part.
It's a good song with the truth of America.

I like the lyrics Warren, I really do
It's got that iambic cadence which all the good folk songs do by not being too restrained but sticking to certain rules of chord for it to song well
Your two repeated last lines though could be open to interpretation as everything preceding them could be said to have been good intentions filled with love, carrying all into the light.
Just the cynical critic in me, but someone would mention it before too long.

Thanx for the feedback and I am cool with it since you did not say something like, "This is **** and you are so wrong with it all you dumb asshole," like those who may have responded with that kinds of crap that are on block that I do not care to see which is why I put those trolls on block in the first place.
Makes this place a lot more tolerable.

It's a brave thing sharing creations Warren (Particularly on here!)
I think it has heart and head about it and could see it being a favourite if it got into the right ears and minds of people looking to tap their toes and take it easy for a bit

The idea that violence equals stupidity is false. In fact many technological developments have been driven by military necessity. Not that explaining further would do you and good.
