Yes and they also face more stigma. There's no evidence that being trans causes suicide. That is an oversimplification. If the explanations given are insufficient, then the claim that it's because of beingbtrans is even less sufficient.

That's likensaying blacks during the civil rights movement had a lot of social support and protection because there were politicians and people fighting for them, but they still faced racism.
