There is a reason it's the first amendment. The ability to have your own ideas and share them is one of the most important foundations of freedom, and restriction of this speech is one of the main acts of all tyrants. Unfortunately younger generations are becoming more in more in favor of restricting speech they don't like.

free speech should not be restricted under any circumstances. that doesn't mean if you say something that infringes on another's rights that there won't be consequences. as far as being compelled to use pronouns, it's my right to use a pronoun that i consider doesn't offend me.
